Biscuits

Sultana biscuits

4oz (125g) butter
4oz (125g) sugar
1 tbsp golden syrup
1 tbsp milk
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup sultanas
1 tsp vanilla
8oz (250g) flour

Over a low heat melt butter, along with sugar, golden syrup, milk, baking soda and sultanas. Stir in vanilla essence.
Remove from heat and cool.
Stir in flour.
Mix well, then place teaspoonfuls rolled into balls, on a greased oven tray, flatten gently with a fork.
Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes until golden brown.
