Spaghetti Bolognese

1 Tbsp olive oil or butter
400g lean beef mince
1 onion, finely chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
2 x 400g tin tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
1 clove garlic (1 tsp dried garlic)
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
black pepper
300g spaghetti (dried)
grated cheese

Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over a medium heat.
Add the mince and onion, stirring it around until the mince is browned and the onions are softened.
Add tinned tomatoes, basil, oregano, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper.
Stir well and bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to simmer for 15-20 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
Place the spaghetti in a deep saucepan full of salted boiling water and cook according to packet instructions (approximately 30 minutes, or can bite through), then drain.
To serve, divide the cooked spaghetti between four dishes, spoon equal portions of Bolognese sauce over each and sprinkle with grated cheese.
