Our Ethically Sourced Ingredients

Every ingredient before use is well researched, we select pure plant oils for their ability to hydrate, nourish, repair, and protect the skin. We want to do our bit to create and live in a more sustainable world. We only use ingredients that have been sourced in a fair and ethical way, including the people who grow, harvest, and sell it. This is why we do not use Palm oil (a cheap oil with far too much destruction to land, animals and the environment), or Mica (a colourant sourced from illegal mines in India and Madagascar where child slavery, as young as 5 years old, is used at cost).
Simply live in harmony with Nature.

Celebrate Earth Day every day … No one person has to do it all but if each one of us follow our heart and our own inclinations we will find the small things that we can do to create a sustainable future and a healthy environment … What one man can do is dream. What one man can do is love. What one man can do is change the world. – John Denver

What we do use:

Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil acts as an effective moisturiser for all skin types including dry skin.

Olive Oil

Olive Oil is used for its excellent moisturising properties, where it is known to nourish, protect and soften skin. Many others use pomace the lowest quality, we use extra virgin, full of the skin proving benefits.

Almond Oil

Known to be rich in Vitamin E, Almond oil helps maintain skin moisture. It is known to nourish the skin and make it soft and supple.

Grape Seed Oil

Grape Seed Oil has a high content of linoleic acid, a fatty acid essential for the skin. It also serves as a wonderful moisturiser which nourishes the skin.

Hemp seed oil

Hemp seed oil is nourishing, moisturising, restores the skin barrier. Great for eczema and acne.

Kawakawa (Māori pepper tree)

Kawakawa is well known for its use in Maori medicine, with its anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties, among others. Kawakawa is soothing and helps with reduction of blemishes, rashes and skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. We grow our own Kawakawa organically in a controlled environment to ensure purity and quality.

Glycerin

Glycerin is naturally forming in our soaps, glycerin keeps the skin hydrated for longer hours with the humectant action that locks in moisture. In mainstream soap manufacturing the glycerin is removed, then used in skin moisturising products.

Manuka honey

Manuka honey is very beneficial to the skin as it attracts water to maintain moisture as well as providing nourishment, and is antibacterial.

Goats Milk

Goats milk is perfect for dry, skin because of its natural softening and soothing properties, with its rich fatty content, is an effective emollient and moisturiser.

Beeswax

Beeswax hydrates, conditions, soothes, and calms the skin. It exfoliates, repairs damage, promotes the skin’s regeneration. Our beeswax is sourced exclusively from a private bee farmer in the lower New Zealand, these bees are cruelty free.
