Gingernut biscuits (Gingernuts)

100g (3 1/2oz) butter
1/4 cup brown suga
3 tbsp Golden Syrup
1 1/2 c flour
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp mixed spice

Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup over a low heat, remove from heat, cool for 10-15 minutes. Stir in the sifted dry ingredients, then roll into balls flatten with a fork and bake at 180C for 10 minutes, cool on trays.
