Cutting Cake

This recipe has been around for awhile, but is a goodie.

1 1/2 tblspn cornflour
1 cup cold water
Boil the water and cornflour together untill thick and leave to cool.

225 gr butter
1/2 tspn almond, lemon and vanilla ess
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tspns baking powder, rounded
450 grams sultana’s.

Cream the butter and sugar, add ess’s then add the eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each. Sift the and baking powder and coat the sultanas with a few spoonfulls. Add the remaing dry ingredients, alternately with the cornflour mixture and add sultana’s. Pour into a baking paper lined cake tin. Bake & 170 oC for 1 1/2 hours.
