Hot puddings

Custard

Serve 4
5 egg yolks
1 1/2 litre full cream milk
5 1/2 Tbsp cornflour
4 Tbsp sugar
4 tsp vanilla essence
70 g butter

Beat egg yolks, add in 200 ml of the milk. Heat the remaining milk.
To the egg yolk mix, mix in the cornflour along with the sugar. Add vanilla.
Once heated milk is hot add some to the egg mix, stir, before returning to the pot.
Stir over medium to high heat till thick and bubbling, add the butter. Serve.

50 g butter
